Mixxx Broadcast Keeps Disconnecting

Troubleshoot a Mixxx broadcast that connects successfully but repeatedly disconnects from the digiSTREAM SHOUTcast server.

Check Network Stability

A live stream requires a continuous connection. Packet loss, unstable Wi-Fi, overloaded uploads, or other network problems can interrupt broadcasting.

Check Upload Capacity

Your outgoing connection must sustain the stream bitrate plus normal network overhead. Avoid saturating the upload connection with other traffic while testing.

Check the Encoder

Use the bitrate and format expected by your digiSTREAM service. For SHOUTcast, Mixxx uses MP3 streaming.

Check for Server-Side Disconnects

If the network appears stable and Mixxx repeatedly reconnects, note the exact time of each disconnect and contact support with those times.
