Mixxx Metadata / Song Titles Not Updating

Troubleshoot artist and title information that does not update correctly on a digiSTREAM SHOUTcast stream.

Mixxx Normally Sends Track Metadata

Mixxx can broadcast the artist and title information associated with the files you play. Its current documentation also provides custom metadata controls and a SHOUTcast metadata format.

Check the Track Information

Make sure the track has the correct artist and title information in Mixxx's library. Test with a track whose metadata is known to be correct.

Check Custom Metadata

If custom metadata is enabled, it can replace the normal artist/title information. Disable custom metadata when you want Mixxx to send the current track's information automatically.

Test With a Simple Format

Start with the standard artist/title information. Once that works, add custom formatting if your station needs a station name, DJ name, or other text.
