Recommended Mixxx settings for a digiSTREAM SHOUTcast broadcast, including MP3 encoding, bitrate, stream information, and metadata.
Recommended Starting Configuration

Why MP3?
Mixxx's current documentation states that SHOUTcast streaming is supported in MP3 format.
Bitrate
Choose the bitrate assigned or recommended for your station. Higher bitrates consume more bandwidth, so do not increase the bitrate simply because a higher number is available.
Metadata
Mixxx can send artist and title information automatically. It also provides custom metadata options and a SHOUTcast metadata format for stations that need a specific title format.
