What It Means
SAM has lost the existing streaming connection.
Error: SAM Broadcaster Error 10054
Possible Causes
- The stream was just reset.
- The SHOUTcast server disconnected the encoder.
- The network connection was interrupted.
- SAM or the SHOUTcast server needs to be restarted.
How to Troubleshoot
- If you just reset the stream, wait about 1–2 minutes and reconnect.
- If the problem continues, close SAM Broadcaster.
- Restart the SHOUTcast server/streaming service if you control it or contact your hosting provider.
- Reconnect SAM and verify whether the encoder stays connected.
- If it repeatedly disconnects, record the exact time and any additional SAM message.
Important:
Change one setting at a time whenever possible. This makes it much easier to determine what corrected the problem.

Additional Notes
A single 10054 immediately after intentionally resetting a stream is not necessarily a fault.
