SAM Broadcaster Error 601 — Member Username/Password Invalid

Error 601 indicates that the SpacialNet member username or password is invalid.

What It Means

SAM's configured SpacialNet member credentials were rejected.

Error: SAM Broadcaster Error 601

Possible Causes

  • The SpacialNet username is incorrect.
  • The SpacialNet password is incorrect.
  • The credentials were changed.
  • The Member Details section contains old credentials.

How to Troubleshoot

  1. Open SAM Broadcaster's Config settings.
  2. Open Member Details.
  3. Verify the SpacialNet username.
  4. Verify the SpacialNet password.
  5. Save the corrected credentials.
  6. Retry the operation that produced Error 601.
Important:

Change one setting at a time whenever possible. This makes it much easier to determine what corrected the problem.

These are SpacialNet member credentials, not necessarily the SHOUTcast source password.
