VirtualDJ Song Titles and Metadata Aren't Updating

Audio can continue streaming even when song-title information is missing or stale. VirtualDJ has broadcast options controlling whether song information is sent to the broadcast server.

  1. Verify the currently playing file has usable title and artist information in its tags.
  2. Check VirtualDJ's Broadcast settings for the option that controls broadcast song information.
  3. Confirm metadata is enabled for the broadcast session.
  4. Start a new broadcast after changing the setting.
  5. Check the SHOUTcast server/status page or player to see whether the title changes.
Remember: Metadata and audio are separate parts of a stream. A metadata problem does not necessarily mean your audio encoder is broken.
